The names on this page, is an attempt to make an accurate list of enlistments from the townships of Goodhue County. Sources used in this study include,

Past And Present of Goodhue County - 1869.
The Adjutant General's Report of 1866
Roster Of Men Who Enlisted In Goodhue County In The Civil War, By Albert Marshall
& various other sources through the Goodhue County Historical Society, Cannon Falls Histrical Society & Vasa Historical Society

The names listed are those that gave the specified township as their place of residence at the time of their enlistment. This is not a list of Civil War Veterans that lived in these townships after the war. There may be others that signed up with an out of state regiment.

One will find discrepancies with men who joined the 1st Minnesota Vol. Inf.  from the early county rosters & newspaper articles posted at the time they joined at the county level to when they actually enlisted as when the call was changed from 90 days to 3 years. At that time there were men that could not leave home at that time for 3 years & went back home to later join with other companies & regiments.  Other Descrepancies are marked in red.
